Shelomo Avayou

Solomon Avayou was born in Izmir, Turkey in 1939. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1949. Graduate of Middle Eastern studies and Arabic from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

In 1966-1971 he taught Arabic in Tiberias, Kfar Saba and Tel Aviv. In 1970-1980 he worked in the Archive for the History of the Jewish People in Jerusalem. There is also a workshop in 1976-1977 a pilot study Ladino Hebrew University. It also served as ExecutiveTel Aviv Foundation for Literature and Art and member of the editorial "Newspaper 77" (1984-1986). Member of Kibbutz Gaash since 1979.
